Our Story

Pivotal Point Strategic Directions (PPSD) commenced in 2004 and has successfully operated on a client referral basis reflecting our success in understanding the need for commercially focused, pragmatic and robust solutions, not just off the shelf models or commoditised advice.

We were founded to support the needs of our clients who require tailored advice and ‘hands on’ expertise to meet specific business needs. Our highly capable and experienced consultants operate from offices in Perth, Australia, and we have a track record of success in working in the Commercial, Government and Not for Profit sectors.

Mark Narustrang

Principal Consultant & Director - B.Bus, FCPA, F.Fin, GAICD

Mark is an experienced strategist and senior leader and has worked with boards and executive both locally and internationally in a range of industries to develop long term value creating strategies. Mark commenced in Pivotal Point after having worked in senior roles in some of Western Australia’s most iconic large corporates. Mark’s speciality is the forming and testing of strategic hypotheses, helping clients gauge the probability of success. Mark also has substantial experience in governance roles.

Michelle Narustrang

Principal Consultant & Founder - B.Bus, GAICD

Michelle established Pivotal Point Strategic Directions over 15 years ago, blending her consulting career with opportunities in Executive roles, the last as Executive GM of HR in an ASX 100 organisation. Michelle is a seasoned executive with experience in People, Culture, Safety, Community Relations and Communication and Transformation and also substantial experience as a Board Director.
